Analysing Music Magazine

The magazine is a music magazine. On the inside you’ll find out for example, what Eminem and Dre are cooking up and learn more about Diddy’s Commission.

The target audience is people who follow American music such as Hip-Hop and RnB.

In the central image the artists are using a direct mode of address. This shows that the artists have a close relationship with the audience but the fact that they’re wearing sunglasses shows that they’re a bit distant so it’s not a really close relationship.

The artists on the front cover are Rick Ross and Diddy. They’re on the front cover because they are one of the hottest artists in the music industry.

The anchorage text says “DIDDY’S COMMISION.” This implies that Diddy has commissioned someone to rap for his label as he owns the record label “Bad Boy Record.”

The artists are giving off a rich, smart and professional message. Showing us that they’re quite serious about their business and don’t mess around.

There are no groups represented or buzz words on the magazine.

The word “Vibe” is word used to describe the atmosphere so it tells us that the magazine is going to be related to the most popular music around the globe.

The title tells us that the magazine is really bold and the images make it look sophisticated.

The puffs suggest that inside the magazine you’re going to find out more about what the puff says. For example, where it says “What are Eminem and Dre cooking up?” inside the magazine you’re going to find an article about what they’re cooking up.

There is no slogan.

The lighting is high-key and the fonts used are bold and clear so everything seems clear and big.

There are famous artists on the front cover and it’s also an anniversary issue so it comes on every once in a while so it would make people want to pick it up.
